'Luminizing Sequence'(2013) involves the equipment of ‘four acts’ where sequential events and concrete stories unfold in a specific space consisting of four floors. This project brings spectators to the center of such stories by constructing the venue in a form of development similar to a theater, movie, or novel. This work displays Lee’s distinctive arbitrary method, trying to convey a story concerning a specific space through a conflation of complex devices and clues such as objects, text, and installation.
This derives from concerns and the attitude of the artist who has explored an approach to communicate with spectators in a more unique manner, departing from the restriction and regulation of general exhibitions. An involver, the “The Person carrying a flash light : Luminizer” and synesthetic indicators like text, conveying each floor’s stories to spectators, appear in this project. These assume the role of offering clues to our doubts to specific standards, rules, and there’s beliefs in which we generally have confidence, persistence and prejudices, and the role of a guide leading us to another world or companion. Through this project the artist tries to share his practice and effort to discover the indicators of a true life, and cast concrete questions through the messages it conveys.
